Equipping Educators, Empowering Children, Expanding Partnerships for Inclusive Transformation

Coaching and Monitoring Visit – Alay Pag-ibig. CDC On February 5, 2026, Mission Ministries Philippines (MMP) conducted a coaching and monitoring visit at the Alay Pag-ibig Child Development Center. The first part of the session focused on classroom observation, where MMP carefully observed how teachers facilitated learning activities. This served as an initial assessment to identify key areas for improvement and future coaching support. The second part of the visit centered on planning and coaching for the upcoming Moving Up Ceremony scheduled for the following month. Emphasis was given to ensuring that the celebration is developmentally appropriate, meaningful, and aligned with the children’s stage of growth.

Spiritual Formation Bible Module. On February 7, 2026, the second Bible module officially commenced under the teaching of Pastor Ronald Hernandez. The course, Spiritual Formation, is part of MMP’s Certificate Course in Early Childhood Education, offered in partnership with the Asian Theological Seminary. This academic program is headed by Teacher Aida Aquino, whose dedication and commitment continue to strengthen and unify the MMP team. We thank God for her faithful, responsible, and wholehearted service to the ministry.

Guest Lecture at DZAS Anniversary Celebration. “On Line Parenting with Mommy Bessie” MMP Director, Dr. Chonabelle M. Domingo, was honored to serve as guest lecturer during the 30th anniversary celebration of DZAS personality Dr. Bessie Rios in an online parenting program. Dr. Rios, a former Executive Director of MMP, began her journey with the organization as host of the parenting program Suplingap, with Dr. Domingo as co-host. Over the years, this program evolved into Memo ni Mommy, which continues to air on DZAS 702. The anniversary celebration was held on February 14, 2026, at City Mall, Tarlac City, coinciding with Valentine’s Day.

NSTP Partnership with UPOU. Mission Ministries Philippines warmly welcomes a new partnership in the area of National Service Training Program through students from the University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU). An orientation meeting was held on February 18 at the MMP Office, where the students presented their advocacy on raising awareness about online bullying. As part of their community engagement initiative, they aim to conduct an orientation seminar in one of MMP’s partner schools. The following day, MMP conducted a school visit to Pristine Heritage Academy to finalize the schedule and provide additional teacher coaching and mentoring. The outreach activity is scheduled for March 9, 2026.

PCMN Participation and OSAEC Advocacy. On February 20, 2026, MMP participated in the Philippines Children’s Mission Network (PCMN), a national faith-based NGO network of child-focused organizations, where MMP is an active member and its Director serves as part of the Board. One of PCMN’s key advocacies is addressing Online Sexual Abuse and Exploitation of Children (OSAEC). In alignment with this, MMP is planning to formally integrate this topic into its Practical Seminar tentatively scheduled for June 2026.

Partnership Exploration with Compassion International. An online follow-up meeting with Compassion International was held on February 25, 2026, to explore possible areas of collaboration with MMP, particularly in the area of Remedial Reading. Both organizations are prayerfully looking forward to the development of this partnership for the benefit of more children and communities.

Special Education Initiative and Training Seminar. The year 2026 marks a significant milestone for MMP as it strengthens its commitment to equip partners in the field of Special Education. This initiative recognizes Republic Act No. 11650, also known as the “Inclusive Education Act,” which promotes policies and services for learners with disabilities in support of inclusive education. In response to this growing need, MMP continues to equip teachers and partners in the area of Special Education. As part of this initiative, MMP conducted a seminar on February 21, 2026, entitled “Special Education for Children: Understanding the Fundamentals of Inclusive Education and Creating Effective Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for Special Learners.” The seminar was attended by 95 teachers who expressed a strong desire to better serve children with diverse learning needs. More SPED trainings and seminars are planned in the coming months.
