OUR FOUNDER

DR. STEWART W. DE BOER

Founder – Mission Ministries Philippines

Educational background: Doctor in Education, Master in Education, MA in Counseling, Master in Divinity, MA in Entrepreneurship, Master in Business Administration.

Personal Statement: I grew up as a missionary kid in India,  served as Chaplain in the USA army for twenty years. Ministered as Academic Dean and President of Asian Theological Seminary and Professor in Counseling and Church Administration.

I enjoy being a Barnabas, a person who encourages others to achieve their God given dreams. I love to pioneer new and innovative ministries, learn from them and teach lessons learned to those who desire to duplicate them. 

I envision to enable others fulfill their God given calling by giving them the resources and opportunities they need.

CORRIE DE BOER

Board Chairman Emerita / Co-Founder

Dr. Lorisa “Corrie” De Boer is a seasoned educator, missionary, and social development leader with over four decades of service in theological education, organizational development, and urban ministry. She holds advanced degrees, including a Ph.D. in Organizational Development and a Doctor of Ministry in Church Renewal and Mission. As former Executive Director of Mission Ministries Philippines, she helped establish more than 350 preschools and community programs nationwide. She also teaches at the Asian Theological Seminary and coordinates graduate-level leadership programs across Asia. An author and conference speaker, she continues to champion transformational leadership, urban ministry, and holistic development.

RONALDO AVANTE

Chairman of the Board

Pastor Ronaldo Avante is the National Director of Christ Jesus Our Life. With professional experience as Merchandising Supervisor at Al Safi Marketing in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, he brings both leadership and organizational skills to his ministry and public service roles.

He holds a Master of Arts in Christian Education, major in Marriage and Family Ministry, from Alliance Graduate School, and a Bachelor of Arts in Theology, major in Pastoral Studies, from the Philippine Missionary Institute. His educational and professional journey reflects a deep commitment to strengthening families, nurturing Christian values, and advancing the mission of the church.

ATTY. CHRISTINE E. PASCUAL – BELLO

Corporate Secretary

Atty. Cristine or Tintin Pascual-Bello is a legal practitioner and educator with over 20 years of combined experience in law, education, and school leadership. She is a member of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (CALMANA Chapter), where she served as Chapter P.R.O. (2019–2021) and continues to volunteer as a Legal Aid Lawyer.

She holds a Master of Arts in Education, Major in Educational Administration, from the University of the Philippines–Diliman, a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from San Sebastian College, and pursued law studies at San Beda College and Philippine Christian University. She passed the Bar in 2013 and is also a licensed professional teacher.

Her career spans private legal practice—specializing in family, property, and labor law, as well as special proceedings—and more than a decade in education as School Directress of Kidsland Christian School in Navotas City. She also contributes to community and non-profit work as Board Secretary of Mission Ministries Philippines and San Jose Academy Alumni Association.

Dr. VIRGINIA “Jeng” JUAN

Corporate Finance Officer

Dr. Virginia “Jeng” Juan is the President and CEO of APPEND, the pioneering network of microfinance NGOs in the Philippines, and Founding President and COO of the country’s first microfinance fintech corporation. With over 30 years of experience in agriculture, financial inclusion, micro-enterprise development, and advocacy, she has dedicated her career to building social enterprises that uplift poor communities and promote sustainable livelihoods.

She also serves on the boards of organizations devoted to poverty alleviation and community transformation. Academically, she holds a Doctor of Transformational Leadership from Bakke Graduate University (USA), a Master of Science in Agricultural Economics from the University of London, and a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture, Major in Agricultural Economics, from Central Luzon State University.

ROBERTO JAMORA MANRIQUE

Board Member

Pastor Roberto Manrique is a dedicated minister, missionary, and organizational leader who serves as a Board Member of Mission Ministries Philippines. He has been actively involved in church planting with Word for the World Christian Fellowship and is an ordained minister under the Church of God, Cleveland, Tennessee. He also leads as President of Abundant Life in the Vine Christian Family International.

Before entering full-time ministry, Pastor Roberto built a professional career in marketing and sales, serving with National Bookstore, Inc., and working as a Professional Medical Representative for Hi-Esai Pharmaceutical Co., Inc. and Morishitta-Seggs Pharmaceutical Co., Inc.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (formerly Bachelor of Science in Commerce), equipping him with both corporate and ministry experience that he now uses to further the mission of the church and strengthen communities in faith.
