INTERNATIONAL TEACHERS COLLEGE
KINGDOM ADVANCEMENT THROUGH CHRISTIAN HIGHER EDUCATION
Scholarships Available (see below)
International Teachers College (ITC) is partnering with Mission Ministries Philippines in advocating for teachers to be trained in raising a new generation of leaders.
EQUIPPING CHRISTIAN STUDENTS FOR KINGDOM SERVICE AS TEACHERS AND LEADERS
The mission of the ITC is to equip Christian students for Kingdom service as teachers and leaders in primary and secondary schools in their home countries and around the world. The Christ-centered curriculum and residential learning community at the ITC help students acquire biblical knowledge, grow more mature in their faith, and develop traits and behaviors indicative of their Christian character. All of the ITC lecturers, administrators and staff are devoted reformed Christians who are committed to developing responsive, reflective, and responsible Christian educators who are able to teach and lead from a biblical framework within various cultural contexts.
The ITC is an international community, made up of students, staff and professors from over a dozen different countries. Students are exposed to many different cultures and educational systems, while studying in English, and living in a safe and comfortable environment. The facilities and curricula at the ITC are state-of-the-art, and our expatriate and Indonesian faculty members are all experts in their fields of study.
The ITC’s unique educational partnership with Corban University in Salem, Oregon (USA) enables students to receive not only a degree from Universitas Pelita Harapan, but also an accredited degree from Corban University. Students have the opportunity to choose between bachelors degrees in elementary education or secondary education. All requirements for the B.Ed. degrees can be completed in only three years of full-time study.
FULL SCHOLORSHIPS FOR THOSE WHO QUALIFY
The ITC is pleased to enroll talented Christian students who wish to attend a world-class university at an affordable cost. Due to the tremendous commitment of the Light and Hope Education Foundation (Yayasan Pendidikan Pelita Harapan), the costs for educational and living expenses on the UPH campus for three years are covered for qualified students. Scholarship recipients pay only for their transportation, annual student visa, and health insurance. Recipients must, however, commit to a four-year period of paid reciprocal teaching service at a school assigned by the YPPH Foundation following graduation from the ITC.
